What about the needles?

If you are scared of needles don’t be scared of these needles.

They are the size of a human hair. This is not like having your blood taken.

Five Element Acupuncture protocol is to insert the needle and turn it ever so slightly and that’s it. It’s not the needle that you feel, it’s your Qi reacting to the needle. Personally, I could care less if you feel the needle at all because often times people don’t and pain does not determine a good treatment. If you feel nothing and have an awesome response, then fantastic!

When the needle is inserted your Qi reacts to the needle. Sensations from the Qi responding might be a dull ache, a swirling sensation, a slight pinch, warm energy, what feels like a zing of energy or nothing – you might feel nothing at all!

The needles are high quality stainless steel. They are sterile and about the size of a human hair. Each is discarded after one use.
